Environmental issues are harmful effects of human activity on the biophysical environment. Environmental protection is a practice of protecting the natural environment on the individual organizational or governmental levels for the both benefit of both the environment and humans.

Global warming can result in many serious alterations to the environment, eventually impacting human health. It can also cause a rise in sea level, leading to the loss of coastal land, a change in precipitation patterns, increased risks of droughts and floods, and threats to biodiversity.

Deforestation is the purposeful clearing of forested land. Throughout history and into modern times,.forests have been razed to make space for agriculture and animal grazing, and to obtain wood for fuel, manufacturing, and construction.

Climate change is a long term change in the average weather patterns that have come to define Earth's local, regional and global climates. Climate change refers to the change in the environmental conditions of the Earth. This happens due to many internal and exrernal factors.

Acid rain is a rain or any other form of precipitation that is unusually acidic, meaning that it has elevated levels of hydrogen ions. Acid rain leaches aluminum from the soil. That aluminum may be harmful to plants as well as animals. Acid rain also removes minerals and nutrients from the soil that trees need to grow.

Urban sprawl is the rapid expansion of the geographic extent of cities amd towns, often characterized by low-density resedential housing, single use zoning, amd increased reliance on the private automobile for transportation. Urban sprawl ha been correlated with increased energy use, pollutions and traffic congestion and decline in community distinctiveness and cohesiveness.
